Introducing

Turn on the lights and open up your eyes, the 2017 Performing Arts Festival is INTRODUCING...emerging artists from Berlin’s independent performing arts community.

Ballhaus Ost, HAU Hebbel am Ufer, Sophiensæle and Theaterdiscounter have opened up their stages for new performing artists as well as performing artists new to Berlin that one should absolutely become acquainted with. Nine artists, duos and groups were selected by these theaters to be presented to the Berlin audience from more than 80 applications submitted in response to an open call. Their work comes from the fields of theater, dance, performance as well as object theater and demonstrates how aesthetically and thematically diverse Berlin's independent performing arts community is: sometimes the work is humorous, sometimes tear-jerking, sometimes political, at other times poetic and filled with gestures both large and small.

All Performances

Tickets can be purchased online for the individual performances. TIP: If you purchase tickets for multiple performances, you will receive a discount of up to 20% once the tickets have been added to the shopping cart. Interested guests of Introducing can purchase a reduced combined ticket for all shows of the series in the ticket shop.
