“Hiking Trails” Through the Festival
Anyone looking to explore the festival’s schedule of programming on their own can take inspiration from our “hiking trails” to set out on their own and move through the programming based on thematic and geographic aspects. There are suggestions for how to put a day together as well as for “hikes” lasting multiple days that have been put together according to time, location and content as well as to highlight the special features found by the wayside.
Tip: If you purchase tickets for multiple performances, you will receive a discount up to 20% once the tickets have been added to the shopping cart. More informations here TICKETS & SERVICE.
WEEK-LONG “HIKING TRAIL”: Mind the Gap
Talking about the “classics” of theater history has now become a lot like stories about yetis: everyone talks about them, but who can say they have actually seen them? Well, the following “hiking trail” through the festival will let you close any embarrassing gaps in your personal theater viewing biography and proudly say "Me!" at the end of the festival:
it kicks off on Wednesday with Philine Rinnert and Johannes Müller on Wednesday with the music performance READING SALOME at Sophiensæle. On Thursday, Der Fall Hamlet, or The Hamlet Case, will be taken up anew at Schaubude by Schäfer-Thieme-Produktionen from Berlin. On Friday night, a classic of literary naturalism makes its way on stage with Bahnwärter Thiel, or Lineman Thiel. On Saturday, you can even brush up on the mother of all classics bilingually: Bridge Markland presents faust in the box in both the German and English versions.
Shakespeare Company Berlin offers a “classic” end to the trail Sunday evening with Macbeth! at Naturpark Schöneberger Südgelände.
