Spend a Day at the Festival Accompanied by an Artist from Berlin’s Independent Performing Arts Community

Members of the independent performing arts community have put together their very own festival day from the schedule of programming and invite audience members to join them. Please note: admission to the various performances is included in the ticket price of the tours. The travel between the performance venues will be conducted on public transportation. Public transportation tickets are not included in the price.

TOUR 1: Good Versus Evil, Evil Versus Good or: Why Not Just Skip to the Happy Ending? (In German)

A tour along borders and contradictions: The meeting place is in the garden of the Bootschafft. After a break to get to know each other, the tour continues to HAU 1 in Kreuzberg, on the trail of the US-American dance icon Isadora Duncan in the USSR. After that, Umanamente awaits in ACUD MACHT NEU (Studio) in Mitte with a performance that invites the audience to participate!

Ludmila Skripkina, geboren in St. Petersburg. Schauspielausbildung in Russland und in der Schweiz. Sie spielte u.a unter der Regie von Matthias Hartmann, Anna Bergmann, Ivan Stanev und Frank Castorf. Seit 14 Jahren lebt und arbeitet sie als freischaffende Performerin und Schauspielerin in Berlin.

» Bootschafft

Bootschafft is a new theater in Pankow, located in the conference hall of the former Australian Embassy in East Berlin. Located at Grabbeallee 34 in Berlin Pankow-Niederschönenhausen, the building, along with the garden and tennis court, were completed in 1975. It was the location of the Australian Embassy in East Berlin until 1986. There were plans to tear down the former Australian Embassy in 2015, but the demolition was prevented when the district office of Pankow placed the building under landmark protection. This brought about a restructuring, during which the owner has allowed the interim use of the building as a location for artist studios. Atelierhaus Australische Botschaft (OST) was founded in April 2017 and comprises a group of more than 30 artists working in the fields of visual art, theater, performance, literature, music, photography and dance.
