Allmende-Kontor: Die Festival-Dependance in Neukölln
The community garden Allmende-Kontor on Tempelhofer Feld was founded over the course of pioneer projects on the former airfield through an initiative of 13 community garden activists, researchers and friends of urban gardening and urban agriculture. The first 10 raised garden plots were created on an area of 5,000 square meters by some 20 participants on April 16, 2011. Since then, the garden and its community with more than 250 raised garden plots and over 600 co-gardeners have flourished – completely self-organized. The association Gemeinschaftsgarten Allmende-Kontor e.V. was founded on June 5, 2014.
The garden on the Neukölln side of Tempelhofer Feld has put down roots and in recent years has become a one-of-a-kind attraction in the city in the sense of education, networking and recreation. Allmende-Kontor has set itself the task of revitalizing the term “Allmende” (shared property, solidary action) and anchoring it within the topics of urban development, food sovereignty and interculturality.

Alte Münze: Festivalzentrum
Alte Münze in Mitte has been the home of Berlin’s mint since the 1930s. Here, Reichmarks were printed by the National Socialists, then East German marks, followed by Deutschmarks and euros after German Reunification and the introduction of the euro until the mint was moved to Reinickendorf in 2005.
The premises are currently managed by Spreewerkstätten. Since 2013, they have successively developed various areas in Alte Münze and made them usable. Culture makers, music producers, artists working in all genres as well as art and music festival presenters and social startups realize a wide variety of projects in Alte Münze today in the culture and creative economy sectors and program the event areas.
The future of Alte Münze is currently the topic of active debate by Berlin’s cultural policy makers. In light of this, PAF is even more excited to be able to be a guest here. It allows this much-discussed location in the middle of the city to be temporarily experienced together by audience members and artists.

aquarium: Festival-Dependance Kreuzberg
In Aquarium, located on the southwest end of Kotti, new spaces for encounters, exchanges and networking have been created, initiated by the team of the neighboring Südblock.
There, myriad space requests come together, for example, for neighborhood and networking meetings, for spaces to conduct conferences, art and culture projects or barrier-free spaces for counselling. In light of this, it was obvious that an application needed to be made for the empty space two doors down from Südblock. Aquarien Meyer had moved out of the storefront on the ground floor. An organizational structure was established.
Following comprehensive renovation and construction work, one third of the barrier-free area is now used for offices and advisement, including the associations ASL (Arbeitsgemeinschaft für selbstbestimmtes Leben schwerstbehinderter Menschen) e.V. and BAV (Berliner Assistenzverein) e.V..
Two thirds of the area is available for flexible use. Neighbors, various initiatives and groups meet here, there are panel discussions, readings, seminars and workshops and a wide variety of exhibition concepts find the space they are looking for here.

Club der polnischen Versager
Despite its easy-going name the Polish Failures Club has a serious intention. It is dedicated to fiascos, to disappointments, in short to failure. Its members are convinced that failure is an integral part of life. Wherever there is success there must also be let-downs, especially in a society that defines itself by success. There’s nothing bad about failure. It is a part of every learning process, every successful result. Disappointments are a necessary part of life and there is no reason for Polish failures to deny, suppress or be silent about failure. Quite the opposite! Under certain conditions to recognise that you’re a failure can have a therapeutic effect. The Polish Failures Club is not a commercial club. All its members work on an honorary basis. The Polish Failures Club finances itself from donations and membership fees. And as it so often says on our posters and flyers: “Financially sponsored by no one!”

HAU Hebbel am Ufer (HAU1)
Under the artistic direction and management of Annemie Vanackere, HAU Hebbel am Ufer presents contemporary artistic positions that explore the intersection of theatre, dance, and performance. In addition, music, visual arts, and theoretically oriented discursive events are core components of the diverse program. Instead of relying on a permanent ensemble, HAU does not only develop, but also presents international co-productions, festivals, and projects realized within and beyond Berlin’s international dance and theatre scene. Since 2013, HAU Hebbel am Ufer has, for instance, been solely responsible for organizing the “Tanz im August” festival. Crucial cornerstones of the program are a contemporary repertoire including renowned classics as well as festivals highlighting current themes, as could for instance be seen in “Precarious Bodies. Tanz, Performance, Körperpolitik“ (2013), “Das Große Nature Theater of Oklahoma ruft Euch!“ (2013), “Good Guys Only Win in Movies. Künstlerische Positionen aus Bukarest und Chisinau“ (2014), "Männlich Weiß Hetero. Ein Festival über Privilegien" (2015), “HEINER MÜLLER!“ (2016), or "Utopische Realitäten" (2017).

K77 Studio
K77 Studio is one of Berlin’s small, alternative spaces with an illustrious history. The studio was built by an international group of young performing artists, who squatted the abandoned building after the fall of the wall. Since it’s beginning, the studio has been home to a wild variety of experimental, dance, and improvisational performance forms.
Today the studio is run by a non-profit collective and continues to host performance evenings, organized by members of the studio and artists-in-residence. Each month the studio runs its Variety Café Berlin, which features short pieces and works-in-progress from international performing artists working in dance, theater, music, and/or everything in between. The theater improv company, Scratch Theater, also hosts a monthly show in the studio.

Platzhaus: Festival-Dependance Prenzlauer Berg
Platzhaus is located both on the outskirts and right in the middle of Helmholtzplatz, a former public bathroom facility that has developed into a welcoming place within the neighborhood where people with low socio-economic potential can also experience social participation. This is a house whose contours were outlined in drawings from the last decade and whose architecture remains flexible in the sense of togetherness and discussion. Since the association Helmholzplatz e.V. first saw the light of day in 2002, WE have operated Platzhaus, located at Helmholtzplatz 0. Today, it reveals the traces of unusual ownership structures and very different existences marked by strongly contrasting living environments.
WE are and were human beings from these worlds who have voluntarily accompanied and carried this fragile project through the last wild times of the "development east to west" to the economic state of late capitalism. It is an opportunity for everyone who wants to be a part of things and has time to take a stance in support of peace, solidarity and utopia.

Theater Thikwa is one of the outstanding integrative theaters in the German-speaking world. These pioneers of inclusion celebrated their 25-year anniversary in 2016.
