An asterisk at the end of nouns. A „i“ at the end of „LGBT“. A third sex, no sex, man and woman at the same time, not man nor woman. Eluding every attempt to categorization intersex people have been constraint to invisibility for a long time. mixed_me is a manifesto of the ambiguity of the human nature. It is the tale of the constitution of the identity between the human urge to normality and the personal pride to be unique. A person looking for the own position in a world imposing - as if in a labyrinth made of distorting mirror - a role which cannot be accepted.
Dance, video, theatre, emotional states and docs-fiction intertwine themselves in a complex, many-voiced net - a kaleidoscope of history, myth, medicine, gender studies, activism, poetry and everyday life.

» Aurora Kellermann

Aurora Kellermann was educated in acting and theatre science in Rome. 2007 she moved to Berlin where she has been involved in many different projects in the official and in the free scene. Her work questions the distribution of power and its dynamics, where her interest concentrates on the outskirts of society. 2012 - 2013 she produced together with the Ballhaus Ost and with a grant from Italian Ministery of Culture the documentary performance about sex work WHAT’S LEFT OF. Since November 2014 she is the artistic director, in team with Chris Wohlrab, of TATWERK | Performative Forschung. 2016 she starts her new project mixed_me, which has been premiered in November 2016 at Südufer (Freiburg).

TATWERK | PERFORMATIVE FORSCHUNG is a production centre and studio for the performing arts in Berlin. The artistic research focus in physical theatre, dance and performance with a particular attention to interdisciplinary projects.
TATWERK is a crossing point for artists who chose the body as material and the research as a tool for their work. Our work consists in offering an artisic exchange platform for ideas, artistic practices and projects.
Our main interest concentrates on multidisciplinary, political and poetic projects in the field of the performing arts. We are particulalry interested in the research of thematic and aestheitc tension fields beween different artistic, social and scientific disciplines. The resulting program consisting o classes, workshops and performance projects is completed by events ans festivals where chosen artists present their work in form of previews, work in progress or ready productions.
Furthermore we offer support in technical questions, in the production and PR. We open our network and activate new, unexpected connections.
TATWERK | PERFORMATIVE FORSCHUNG responds to the need of many artists for an open space and pursues long term work relationships.
