Hawaiian Fragments (Compagnie des Wanderers)
Elaine, a successful businesswoman in the world of finance, receives an unexpected call. Her son has been victim of a shark attack while surfing in Hawaii and has died. She must travel to identify his body. Once there, when the time to make a decision about the corpse's fate comes, Elaine goes blank. Confronted with this human question she's clueless and neither burial nor cremation seems to make any sense to her. Elaine decides to stay on the island while the body is left waiting. Hawaiian Fragments is the story of this journey, the grieving process it constitutes and ultimately the search of possible reconciliation with nature. A dark humoured solo-show adventure conceived as a series of fragments that explore different theatrical aesthetics as though in the quest for the right ritual.
