Affinity (Theater o.N., Alfred Zinola)
For the opening event of FRATZ International and Berlin Showcase 2017, choreographer and director Alfredo Zinola and the Theater o.N. Ensemble develope a new production together. "Affinity" means appeal, and that's the subject in the staging: In an open space, the performers build little islands and make contact with the audience using their voices. Can we touch each other using the voice instead of the body? Which sounds can reach the audience? A lullaby can soothe a child; a deep sound can command attention. In "Affinity", we evoke different states of mind and body and play with closeness and distance: So close as if my head were in someone's lap and I could hear sounds; and as far away as if we would have to yell at each other across 3 flights of stairs.
