ÉCOLEFLÂNEURS is a poetic almost-nothing. There will be no performance. You are invited to saunter with us - individually. ÉCOLEFLÂNEURS opens up an unique reading: Come and read with us in the streets of Berlin. Curiously turn corners. Indulge in your own speed. Let yourself be poetized by the loquacity of the city. First attend a short introduction to the „art of getting lost“ (Solnit), then join your personal flaneur. It´s that easy how the temptation to „assisted loneliness“ applies.

ÉCOLEFLÂNEURS is the common label of director and trainer for the arts of walking Elke Schmid and performer, dramaturg and philosopher Thomas Schütt. Elke Schmid beyond walking keeps exploring „underacting“ as an authentic stage language with her group EX!T Ausgangspunkt Theater. Thomas Schütt is a member of EX!T and furthermore worked with Michael Laub, Two Fish, Hyoung-Min Kim & Wagner Moreira amongst others. Elke Schmid regularly shows up with her performance „MIT GEHEN“ aswell as with the workshop „GUT GEHEN“. Thomas Schütt worked as dramaturg for Hyoung-Min Kim in „Gelbe Landschaften“ (projekttheater Dresden, 2014) and „Nach dem Ende kommt noch was“ (DOCK11 Berlin, 2015). Recently he performed with Wagner Moreira in and was responsible for the dramaturgy of „Talk To Me“ (UA Hellerau – European Center for the Arts Dresden, 2015).

"Die Vierte Welt Kollaborationen" sind 2010 auf Initiative von Lubricat im Zentrum Kreuzberg gegründet worden. Die Vierte Welt ist ein Raum, in dem sich Künstler, Spezialisten, Aktivisten und Publikum auf Augenhöhe begegnen, um in Verständigung und Austausch zu treten. Die Vierte Welt hat sich zu einem offenen Möglichkeitsraum entwickelt, mit dem wir - gegen den kurzfristigen Verwertungsdruck des Marktes - eine Situation von Dauer und Kontinuität in der künstlerischen Arbeit behaupten. Weg von der Fokussierung auf das singuläre ästhetische Ereignis (Projekt) und von den Einschließungen in eine Szene, arbeiten wir an einem Perspektivwechsel der künstlerischen Produktions- und Präsentationspraxis, in welchem wir versuchen, die ästhetischen und die kunstpolitischen Positionen neu zu denken.
