Adam, the first of us, humans’ master form. Innocent and naked, much like Adam’s baldness, one comes into the world. We are stained by guilt and in the end, life will come and get us. Not poor Eve, here it is us who are the Fall of Man!
The Jug - the world’s container - has already been broken, just as our own chastity: The ones who plunge into life will inevitably get dirty.
Kleist drags the judge in front of the court, but it is the self-righteous state which is being reflected and therefore assessed. The alleged protagonist in reality only occupies a secondary role, he is merely a corrupt follower in a corrupt system. Kleist ruthlessly exemplifys this in his play. Ultimately, it could hit any one of us.

The mountain is calling! Animated by the audience’s brisk reception that has granted a literally full (fairy tale) cabin every evening, and full of irrepressible joy of the craft, the founders of the “Hexenkessel Hoftheater” – Jan Zimmermann (stage director and author), Roger Jahnke (production manager and actor), and Carsta Zimmermann (actress) – revive the beautiful “Pfefferberg” Theatre with new classic pieces. Henceforth, along with the (“Hexenkessel Hoftheater”/ “Märchenhütte”) fairy tale cabin’s longstanding actors – Vlad Chiriac, Torsten Schnier, Michael Schwager und Andreas Köhler – next to the well-known precursors Shakespeare, Molière and further, they also play Kleist, Büchner and their kinsmen; all the pieces adapted the “Hexenberg” way.
The established ensemble, that has been firmly rooted in Berlin’s theatre scene for over 20 years, brings modern popular theatre to a familiar setting, and acted out with glowing passion.
