Relevant works for her own authorship with Viviane de Muynck , Ivo Dimchev and Francois Chaignaud. Since 2013 in Berlin in various collectives. Work is based on cultural researches, used as a tool and set in another context.

The Berlin-based performance collective andcompany&Co. was founded in Frankfurt/Main in 2003 by Alexander Karschnia, Nicola Nord and Sascha Sulimma. The 3 co-directors form an open international network which is constantly being joined by new artists from various disciplines. andcompany&Co. regularly (co-)produce theatre performances and lecture-concerts. They seize the canon by sampling philosophical and aesthetical fragments. Through means of remixing they assert their very own tradition.
» Angela Lamprianidou
Angela Lamprianidou has studied choreography and new techniques of interpretation at the Institut del Teatre, Barcelona, where she spent many years living and working. Her new piece “appointment on stage” has it´s worldpremiere at Ballhaus Ost in Berlin, the cast consist of 6 dancers, one dramatic adviser, and two musicians.
Her work has been described as „appearing like conspiracies, with a looping logic and a certain tenaciousness, when it comes to understanding/appreciating pure energy.“ (R. Fratini)
» Anna-Maria Gesine Schreiber
Anna-Maria Gesine Schreiber finished TAV in 2012, now she is free or in an Ensemble. Since 2009 she stages various works about Frida Kahlo in own scenery and costumes. With "In quarrel with pain" she won the F K Look Alike Contest in Vienna. The monodrama "The lion in the wardrobe" was successfully presented on Fiestas Fridas in SF, US in 2014. Scenical reading "The dove and the elefant" in two languages will be ready to be presented on tour soon. A dance and singing program is in preparation.

BEGEMOT – is a post-immigrant theatre group, formed 2014 by Alexander Schulz and Maria Zharkova, graduates of the GITIS - The Russian University of Theatre Arts in Moscow. They see themself as people, who use the theatre for telling stories, which speak to the heart. They experiment with forms and styles to impassion the audience with things, which impassion them, to be understood and to understand.
» Bridge Markland
The Berlin performer Bridge Markland is a virtuoso of role play and transformation. Effortlessly she crosses boundaries between dance, theatre, cabaret, gender performance and puppet theatre.
Her specialty are One-Woman+Puppets-LipSync-Shows of classical German theatre pieces. Faust I/Goethe, The Robbers/Schiller, Leonce and Lena/Büchner. With her unique talent of transformation she performa all roles either as human being or as puppet. She edits the texts and supports and contrasts them with fitting quotes from well known pop songs. Her performances delight people of all ages from 13 years on and have been toured in Germany, Europe, USA and Canada. Faust and Robbers are also available in English versions.
» Chang Nai Wen
Chang Nai Wen works internationally as a director. Her work is driven by a belief in direct dialogue to create a diversity of stories rarely told on stage. Since 2008, Chang has created site-specific and participatory formats that bring borders of any sorts into question with her company Sisyphos, der Flugelefant (SdF) in Berlin. In addition, since 2011 she has developed a method of co-directing with the international directors' collective the World Wide Lab in New York, Rome, Syros and Taipei.

The collective sees itself as an open form of theater in which the influences of each cast member come into effect and the audience is part of the staging. The project is interdisciplinary involving various media and interactive design, many scenes are improvised, and will push the audience into another reality.

The Swiss director Corinne Maier studied Cultural Sciences and Aesthetic Practice at the University of Hildesheim in Germany until 2009. Since then she has remained committed to creating her own performances in a range of contexts: She works as a performer with the collective "magic garden" and as a director mostly in Berlin and in Switzerland. Her latest (so-called documentary) works "Past Is Present" and "Like A Prayer" have been touring internationally.

English Theatre Berlin | International Performing Arts Center (ETB | IPAC) is the German capital’s only producing and presenting organization in the Hauptstadt expressly dedicated to English, the 21st century lingua franca, as the working language, as a bridge between cultures, countries and traditions.
We collaborate with both English native speakers and non-native speakers in order to achieve an exchange between artists of different backgrounds who mutually inspire and influence each other.

Since 1978 Fiegendes Theater creates theater productions for children and adults. The desire to combine fine arts with theater led to the figure theater. From a mix of acting, figure/object and material theater, projections and live music, Fliegendes Theater develops scenic material with associative character. The own venue in Berlin built a firm foundation for a regular work as well as ideal conditions for experimentation. Fliegendes Theater regularly gos on tour and was invited to play at many national and international festivals.

Flinn Works (Berlin/Kassel) is led by co-artistic directors Sophia and Lisa Stepf. Always engaging with current social and political issues that resonate globally, the company devises its work in collaboration with professional international artists and performers. Flinn Works uses theatre, music, multiple perspectives and intensive research to create new performance works. The company has won prizes in Zurich and Delhi, tours in Germany, Switzerland and India and sometimes as far as Hong Kong.

How can we understand the world of digital work? Who haunts us through the net? And how long will we need our hands anymore? Questions that will be investigatd by four performers.

Opera shouldn't be reserved for expensive high society events. Opera needs to be out amongst the people. Its need isn't just to be listened to and enjoyed, but for questions to be asked. It seeks not just admiration, but involvement.
That is why the HAUPTSTADTOPER unites opera professionals and beginners. A group of freelance artists, gathered around the soprano Kirstin Hasselmann, produces grand art in petite sizes. They create an intimacy for which the big stages are too big. Contact and close proximity between the artist and the audience are a priority.

» Ixchel Mendoza Hernandez / Anna Weißenfels
Ixchel Mendoza Hernández is a Mexican freelance choreographer and dancer based in Berlin. She completed her Choreography and dance studies at Artez Arnheim in 2007. In summer 2007, she received a scholarship of DanceWebEurope, in the frame of ImPulsTanz Festival, Vienna. Since 2011 she extended her practice in to video making in collaboration with the artist Anna Weißenfels. From 2013 till 2015 she has being engaged at the MA SoDA, HZT in Berlin. In 2016 she got chosen for the Einstiegsförderung.
Anna Weißenfels works as a choreographer, dancer and dance teacher in Berlin/Morocco. 2007 she received a BA for choreography/dance at ARTEZ Arnhem. Since then she researches about _ voice anthropology with Ulrike Sowodniok _photo-and videoproduction with Ixchel Mendoza Hernandez, Youness Atbane _ collective body with Frauke Gerhard-Initiative VOLK TANZ TRUPPE.
Anna’s work has recently been shown at 60_minutes Berlin, Ostrale Dresden’15, headlands center in San Francisco, Marrakesh Bienale 6.

» Joseph Wegmann und Minna Partanen
Joseph Wegmann (USA) and Minna Partanen (FI) are post-hedonists living in Berlin on the precipice of a long-lasting collaboration. With degrees from NYU Tisch in Directing, Scenography & Performance Studies and Helsinki Metropolia in Performing Arts, they take a fluid approach to the development of their work. Currently, they are interested in the cross-section between disciplines while creating performative celebrations of dissatisfaction and being incapable.
» Juli Reinartz
Juli Reinartz studied at DOCH and researched at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm between 2010 and 2013. The pieces resulting from this research 'We are not in this together yet', 'Atlantic' and 'Really Good Music' were presented in Scandinavia and Germany in venues such as MDT, Kiasma, Black Box Teater, Reykjavik Dance Festival and Uferstudios. Since 2014, Juli lives and works in Berlin. Currently, she is rehearsing a solo on the 'Body of excitement' which will premiere in September 2016.

Wether EU, Utopia, Math or Brain Research - At first sight the themes of Katja Hensel's productions don't seem to be topics that are easily dramatized. But by finding unusual approaches, those subjects become concrete, even comic without losing their complexity: Actors play European nations licking their wounds in a family therapy, the audience simulates the model of a human brain, Utopia as a Live Dubbing Karaoke... theatre focussing on text and playfulness instead of technical effort.
» LAVAMOVER Contemporary Dance Company
The Berlin based contemporary Dance Company LAVAMOVER was founded in 2015 by choreographer Anne Gieseke. Composed of the junior and adult company, the ensemble trains and rehearses several times a week. Within the context of "Tanz im August", the LAVAMOVER Company took part in the "Berlin Diagonale 2015" in Dock 11. First production with the Adult Company was a revival of the contemporary choreography 'PRINT(ed)IT', which has been presented in different locations in Berlin and as a guest production at 'Freiburger Festival LABOR MANIFEST'. On the 4th of May 2016 'PRINT(ed)IT' has been performed at the Iternational Festival Freiburg and is now part of the programm of the Performing Arts Festival 2016. PRINT (ed)IT and a few other pieces, the Company is currently working on, will be part of a LAVAMOVER dance film production.
» Małgorzata Gajdemska
Choreographer, dancer, performer and dance educator, based in Berlin (after 10 years of work in Warsaw). Director of dance and theater projects (with professional artists, children and youth, immigrants, blind, deaf people). In her works she combines a variety of techniques and styles of dance with somatic practices, performing arts, theater and visual arts. Currently focused on projects between choreography and visual arts and cooperation projects between artists from Berlin and Warsaw.
» Maria de Vasconcelos
Maria de Vasconcelos started her carrier in 2000. She studied the Jacques Lecoq´s method in Barcelona. Since then she worked with different companies and directors in Portugal and in Spain and taught Gesture and Improvisation. She was engaged with social and pedagogic projects, in hospitals as a Clown Doctor, sharing teatro do oprimido knowledge in Evora´s prison, etc.
Since 2008 she is focused on her own creations and projects being also a co-author of The Monkey.
» María Ferrara
María Ferrara studied acting in Madrid 1996-1999 and continued her training with contemporary dance and voice. She has worked with various theatre companies in Spain and England. In January 2014 María moved to Berlin. In 2015 she performed in "Solo on the Move #1", which was funded by the District of Pankow. "Zeitgenössischer Glanz" follows the same interest in the everyday as her instant-composition series "Everyday Pieces" and is also funded by the District of Pankow.
» Martha Hincapié Charry
Studierte Tanz in Kolumbien und an der Folkwang U. Essen mit Pina Bausch. Sie wurde auf Festivals u.a. nach Frankreich, Italien, Ecuador und Brasilien eingeladen. Sie gründete die deutsch-kolumbianische Gruppe Periferic Berlin/Bogotá. Ihr Stück „Self-portrait with Mask“ wurde mit dem Publikumspreis beim Festival 100° Berlin ausgezeichnet und für den Nationalen kolumbianischen Tanzpreis nominiert. 2010 entstand am Dock11, unterstützt durch eine Einstiegsförderung des Berliner Senats, “The Second Time in Between”. 2012 zeigte sie in Bogotá ihre Arbeit “Transparente”. 2013 hat sie im Theater Basel für Volker Lösch die Choreographie für “ANGST” entwickelt, und hat ein Tanzstipendium von dem Berliner Senat erhalten. 2015/16 hat sie mit Teodor Currentzis und Sasha Waltz & Guests im Radialsystem V performt. Sie ist künstlerische Leiterin des Festival Plataforma/SurReal Berlin und Kuratorin für die Tanz Biennale in Cali, Colombia.
» Mirjam Gurtner
Mirjam works as an independent choreographer in Berlin. Her work has been performed in London, Berlin, Switzerland and Ireland. Her research looks at queries regarding authenticity in the correlation between sensation and physicality. Her latest work, the duet unknowing, premiered in October 2015 at Theater Roxy Basel. In 2016 she will create a durational performance for Candoco Dance Company at the Wellcome Collection London and lead a cross cultural Community Dance project in Basel.
» Modjgan Hashemian
Modjgan Hashemian, is a freelance choreographer in her native town Berlin.
She looks back on a varied dance and choreographic past.
Her dance pieces are based on “real” stories, dealing with implementation and resistances in the social and political context. They represent a combination of documentary components and the search for an interpretation of these stories through the own body language with focus on interdisciplinarity. She collaborates on international level, particularly in Iran and Iraq.

MS Schrittmacher is a pool of freelance, artistically connected choreographers, dancers, performers, composers, writers as well as stage, costume and lighting designers.
The continuity in the work and the further development of forms and ideas were and are important aspects of the group’s identity.
In the past years MS Schrittmacher has made a name for itself with very different pieces and formats. The group stands for a sociopolitical examination, which always intervenes in the daily life and the immediate experiences of the people. To come up to this claim the group has dissolved consequently the classical audience situation and has entered more and more the public space with their performance formats.

NOVOFLOT is a Berlin-based independent opera company. Since its foundation in 2002 they have developed various project formats. After Krenek’s "Bell Tower" and Traetta’s "Antigone" they staged the ten-part opera saga "Kommander Kobayashi", the trilogy "HOW WE FEEL", "The Christmas Oratorio", "Parisian Life", "The Castle", "Victory over the Sun #1-#5", "T-House-Tour #1-#5" and the current project "National Opera #1-#3". Collaboration partners have been Sophiensaele, Radialsystem V, Hamburg State Opera, UltraSchall Festival, Warsaw Autumn, Teatr Wielki Warsaw, Théâtre National du Luxembourg, Trafó Budapest, Transmediale, Haus der Berliner Festspiele, Hamburger Bahnhof, Academy of the Arts and Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz. In 2014 NOVOFLOT were awarded the George Tabori Prize.
» Once We Were Islands
ONCE WE WERE ISLANDS is Chris GYLEE (scenographer / theatre-maker) and Richard ASLAN (writer / theatre-maker). Our work begins with strong collaborations and incorporates components of performance, theatre, installation, event making, bookwork and choreography. We create interlocking performative machines to enact scores and rituals that encourage surprising thought patterns to arise. We see our work as an investigation into kindness, empathy and queerness, and war, capitalism and patriarchy.

Out Of The Box was launched by actress, choreographer and clown Florentine Schara. Under this label theatre based cross over art projects with artist from different fields of the arts – theatre, music, movement, visual arts and film – are developed. Based on this diversity of artistic elements they strive to create performances with colourful comical, tragic and often poetic moments.
This first production “Paula Feuerborn’s Boxes of Pandora” tells the story of a woman fighting with the memories from her past life in a fresh and stunning mixture between acting, physical theatre, animation film and music with enchanting, touching and literally moving imagery.

'progresstheater' primarily functions as a summary term for the realization of single projects within the scope of performing arts. A first play 'Flimmern' was implemented in the end of March. More plays and projects are work in progress. The next one is due to take place in the end of May. At the beginning 'progresstheater' attempts to realize a collective way of working without a solid collective. It pools individual skills, is subject to a development process with itself and its environment.

Ren Saibara is Performer, actress and director from Japan. There she founded the artist collective actnetwork. She studied German studies in Tokyo and Historic Urbanism in Berlin. in Japan she participated in several international theater festivals. The primary focus of the company is towards the development of performances for the stage. The creative outcomes of the work are further explored through their adaption for various mediums such as radio, live performance and film. 40-50 shows per year.
