Performing in Urban Spaces: Examples from Brazil, Germany and India (Katerina Valdivia Bruch)
Berlin-based choreographer and dancer Katerina Valdivia Bruch conducted a series of workshops on video dance in public space in Belém do Pará and Recife (Brazil) and in Bangalore (India) between 2015 and 2017. The main focus of attention of the workshop was the use of architecture. The participants performed in urban settings as a starting point for the creation of video dance pieces.

Katerina Valdivia Bruch is a Berlin-based independent dancer and choreographer who conducts research into dance and other fields of art. She collaborates with different artists, such as experimental musicians and visual artists, focusing on interdisciplinary work. She has performed, created choreographies, given lessons and workshops in Germany, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Croatia, Serbia, Poland and Spain.
This is a multifunctional event venue for music and dance performances, film screenings and other art related events. It features a weekly schedule of programming and a bar.
