PAF connects. (Performing Arts Festival Team & Guests)
The Performing Arts Festival makes connections with the formats Bridging the Scenes, Städtelabori and Introducing: between emerging artists and the Berlin performance venues, between the independent festivals in Stuttgart, Munich, Dortmund, Hamburg and Berlin and between the independent performing arts communities in Berlin and Sofia, Bulgaria.
In a comfortable atmosphere directly following the festival breakfast, all three formats will be presented to Berlin-based colleagues and the international visiting industry professionals.
Introducing, the newcomer’s platform of the Performing Arts Festival, will present nine productions this year that demonstrate how aesthetically and thematically diverse Berlin’s independent performing arts community is. All nine positions deal for themselves with the question of the stage and whom it belongs to as aesthetic manifestos and open experimental systems at the same time. Please allow us to introduce – INTRODUCING 2018*
With Städtelabor, the Berlin Performing Arts Festival provides two artists from each region, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Württemberg, with the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the aesthetics and working methods of over 140 Berlin productions, attend the discussion events in the schedule of programming for visiting industry professionals and benefit from the diverse networking options of the Berlin Performing Arts Festival as a festival visitor.
Bridging the Scenes
Sofia meets Berlin! The Bulgarian ACT Fest Sofia and the Berlin Performing Arts Festival are building bridges and bringing the independent performing arts communities of both cities closer together with the exchange program Bridging the Scenes.
Bridging the Scenes offers three Bulgarian and three Berlin-based producers, production managers and artists with interests in organization and administration the opportunity to attend both festivals as visitors.
Free admission. Prior registration is requested: fachpublikum(at)performingarts-festival.de

For all participants and guests of the Berlin Performing Arts Festival.
Part of the ancillary program conceived and developed by the Performing Arts Festival team.
The Performing Arts Festival team consists of young and experienced artists, festival designers, organizers, editors, publicists and more… – many members of the team are also active as members of Berlin’s independent performing arts community. Together, we shape this festival from work created within Berlin’s independent performing arts community and offer the festival for Berlin’s independent performing arts community.
You can meet us personally during the festival – we look forward to it!
aquarium, as the name suggests, is located in a former aquarium store. The space was initiated, amongst others, by Südblock. It sees itself as a space for encounters, exchange, networking and collaborative work: lively, heterogeneous, inclusive. A variety of art and culture projects are also frequent guests here, PAF was already here last year!
