Mit oder ohne (MamArt)
Every person was born of a woman. That's right - but no woman is born as a mother. Women are inevitably responsible for care, protection and education, yet not, and still the concept of motherhood seems to be firmly linked to it. Eight women of different ages fight against these ideas and conquer the stage. They go on a journey of discovery together and explore the many facets of motherhood.

We are nine women of different ages, backgrounds, cultures, socialization and education. We met regularly to think about motherhood. In dealing with the discourse of motherhood and our own biographies, we asked ourselves the following questions: What is motherhood today? How did our grandmothers and mothers live their motherhood? What happens if we do not think motherhood biologically? What role do we take and what are attributed to us? What do we want to change and what do we want exactly how it is? The goal was not only to enter into a mutual exchange, but also to create an artistic-aesthetic framework and thus turn to an audience.
Theater Expedition Metropolis (ExMe) develops interdisciplinary theater work in intercultural and collective workshops that are accessible to everyone and can be used as an exploration field. As “open workshops”, they offer space for design, development and production.
