This piece investigates the symbiosis of space and body, the fusion and contraction of light, sound, architecture and rhythm. It opens an investigation of time and non-time, material and imaginary memory. metamorphosaic is a dance and sound performance. Limits of perception are explored, ephemeral and immaterial qualities become tactile.

Katharina Bévand and Azzie McCutcheon are currently based in Berlin. Both share a deep interest in eastern philosophies. Both gained an insight into butoh and it’s foundations. This knowledge and a common interest in the body and it’s interaction with the surroundings form their starting point for a sound-dance collaboration.

Schiller-Bibliothek, founded in 1920, is one of the oldest libraries in the district of Mitte. Originally opened as a small children’s reading room and youth library, it quickly established itself and became Volksbücherei Schilllerpark in 1936. Schiller-Bibliothek opened in July of 2015 in its own newly constructed building as a library as a social space with a primary focus on youth with the @hugo Youth Media Days.
