Spend a Day at the Festival Accompanied by an Artist from Berlin’s Independent Performing Arts Community

Members of the independent performing arts community have put together their very own festival day from the schedule of programming and invite audience members to join them. Please note: admission to the various performances is included in the ticket price of the tours. The travel between the performance venues will be conducted on public transportation. Public transportation tickets are not included in the price.

Looking for something new? With Innovation, I’ll Find You, director France-Elena Damian invites you to attend a tour through experimental formats, political discourses and societal questions. Themes including suicide, kidnapping and the magic of transformation are combined with the formal language of the sci-fi comedy, the performative montage and the choreographic herb garden.

France-Elena Damian ist eine rumänisch-deutsche Regisseurin. Ihren Abschluss machte sie an der HfS "Ernst Busch". Sie arbeitete deutschlandweit u.a am Schauspiel Magdeburg, Staatstheater Darmstadt, Landestheater Schwerin sowie am Deutschen Theater. Seit wenigen Jahren entwickelt sie unterschiedliche Interaktionsformate für die freie Szene Berlins. Ihre Arbeiten wurden beim 48h Neukölln Festival, in den Sophiensælen am Heimathafen Neukölln in Halle, Leipzig, Bukarest und New York gezeigt. Sie ist Gründerin von Pro Quote Bühne und seit Januar 2018 leitet sie zusammen mit ihren Kollegen das tak Theater Aufbau Kreuzberg am Moritzplatz.

Vierte Welt was founded in 2010 in Zentrum Kreuzberg upon the initiative of Lubricat. Vierte Welt is a space in which artists, specialists, activists and the audience can meet at eye level to reach understandings and achieve exchanges. Vierte Welt has developed into being an open space of possibility within which we assert, in opposition to the short-term exploitation pressure of the market, a situation of permanence and continuity in the artistic work. Far from the focus on a singular aesthetic event (project) and from being confined to one community, we work to change the perspective of the practice of artistic production and presentation in which we seek to think aesthetic and artistic/political positions anew.
